My hockey fan is now 11 years old! It is amazing how fast they grow up! He is certainly not that scrawny little kindergartener we first met. He is now a big strong pre-teen who is in love with anything hockey, video games and nerf guns.
Little and Big!

This year, he requested a trip to Ottawa for a Senators Versus Penguins game. The closest game to his birthday is not until March 24th, so we had a simple family celebration on Sunday, with his friend celebration next month.
The day started with church, then he had a hockey game. His team won and he nearly scored 4 times! At dinner time, we went to East Side Mario’s for dinner. He got to open all his presents – NHL12 for Xbox, street hockey equipment and goalie mask, new ice hockey pants and some hockey books – his blog name fits him well!
All in all, it was a very nice day and he had lot’s of fun.
Happy Birthday, Hockey Star!
Then we came home to try out his new street hockey equipment and celebrate with a birthday cake…er… pie. He requested a lemon meringue pie instead of a cake this year!

All in all, it was a great day! Happy Birthday to my Hockey Star.
