I sit here on the couch…
Listening to the sounds of numerous buckets of toys being dumped out.
Calling out “What are you guys doing?”
Being told “No Mommy, It is surprise! You can’t look!”
Wait… listen to more toy buckets being dumped out and “Okay, Little Why, We needs one more bucket and it be ready!”
(the destruction)
Cringe at the sound of each one and the raised voices of “NO! I gonna do that one!” and “Mine needs a be pretty first!”
Then see a little head pop up in the entryway… a grin from ear to ear – and a little voice say “It tall now Mommy! It tall as you! Surprise!”
Ahhh… the joy of toddlers!
