Christmas Totschool “Wrap” up!

Get it? Wrap? … Yeah … Elastoboy didn’t either.

Tot School

My tot is 29 months old.

Anyway, we spent the week before Christmas doing some fun totschool activities. We haven’t done anything totschool related this week but with hubbers home and the bigger kids running around with excitement, it’s been a busy household.

I’m not breaking things down according to day as usual, but here’s the Coles Notes on our weekly activities.

We did lot’s of printables from 1+1+1=1 such as the pre-writing skills page, beginning sounds, size sorting and finding letters.
We used the prewriting printables from 2 Teaching mommies.
And even more printables from 1+1+1=1. We focused mostly on her Nativity Tot pack, but enjoyed a few other of the Christmas printables such as these fun colouring sheets as well.
The two favourite activities of the week were the graphing game and…
The sock matching game.

We also did sticker pages from Monkey Girl’s “First Christmas” sticker book, played “Go Fish”, did some lacing cards,  and played with the sensory bin (especially the Santa figurine.)

Our week was filled with Christmassy crafts.
We made candle holder gifts on a pottery wheel given to the kids from a friend of ours then later painted it once it dried.
Monkey Girl and Prince Charming had fun making reindeer heads using their feet and hands for the head and antlers.

They also made Candy Canes using their thumb prints and then painted candy canes with the leftover paint. (I love these!!!)

THese felt snowmen were lot’s of fun to make over and over and over again.

They also had fun making patterns with this candy cane craft from 1+1+1=1.

And that would be it for this week. We’ll be back to normal totschool stuff the week of the 9th, when all the kiddos go back to school.

  1. Lots of fun activities! I had wanted to do that thumbprint candy cane, but I didn’t get around to it.

Such a neat idea to have them make candle holders on the pottery wheel!

  2. Sorry it took me so long to respond! Holiday madness took over our house 🙂

I got the magnetic nativity from a local Christian bookstore, but you can find it on amazon as well.

Hope your family enjoyed the holiday season!
